Examination Guidelines

A. Continuous Evaluation through the LMS

Continuous Evaluation carries 30% weightage in the overall assessment. Once students complete the assigned learning activities, they gain access to subject-wise assignments.

Each student must submit 2 assignments per subject through the LMS. Assignments consist of Objective (MCQ) type questions.


B. Continuous Evaluation through the LMS

  • Semester-end examinations carry 70% weightage.

  • The exam form opens on the website according to the University's academic calendar.

  • The University Controller of Examinations declares the exam date sheet (timetable) for every subject across all programs.

  • Students must submit the exam form within the specified window for the upcoming exam cycle. Refer to the Academic Calendar for exact dates.

  • All assignments must be submitted successfully before the semester-end exams.

Examination Conduction

  • The University conducts online, proctored examinations. Exam details are communicated to students in advance via their registered email address.

  • Online exams consist of 70 Objective Type (MCQ) questions, 1 mark each, for 70 marks total.

  • Each subject's exam duration is 2 hours 30 minutes.

  • Login credentials for the online exam are shared with students via their registered email before the exam begins.

  • Results are declared within 30 days of the last exam date.

Grade Book

  • Every subject includes both continuous evaluation and a semester-end examination.

  • Weightage: Continuous Evaluation: 30%; Semester-End Exams: 70%.

  • Continuous evaluation is conducted through the Learning Management System.

  • The University follows its standard grading system for evaluation; refer to the university website for full details.

  • Semester-end exam information is published on the university website and communicated to students in advance.

Important Notes

  • For MA, and MBA programs: even if a student meets the minimum passing score in both Internal and External Examinations, if the combined total is below 40, the student will be considered Fail in that subject.

  • For the MCA program: even if a student meets the minimum passing score in both Internal and External Examinations, if the combined total is below 50, the student will be considered Fail in that subject.
