Dr. N. Kishore Babu is a Professor in the Department of Commerce and Management Studies at Andhra University, and currently serves as Rector of the University. He has previously held the roles of Registrar (Additional Charge), Registrar (In-Charge), and Dean of Academic Affairs at Andhra University, bringing a disciplined, experienced, and steady hand to University administration. He received the Best Teacher Award from the Higher Education Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh, on 5th September 2023.

He brings more than 15 years of administrative experience at Andhra University, having served as Head of the Department of Theatre Arts; Co-ordinator, Human Rights and Duties Programme; Chief Warden for A.U. Research Scholars' Hostels; Assistant Director for the M.B.A. Distance Mode Programme; Warden for A.U. Arts and Commerce Hostels; Co-ordinator for P.G. and Professional Examinations; Co-ordinator for the Certificate Course on Goods and Services Tax; Deputy Co-ordinator for the U.G.C.-S.A.P./C.A.S. Programme-II; and Internal Auditor for IQAC. He also served as Convener of AP ICET-2022.

With 31 years of teaching experience in M.B.A. and M.Com. courses and 34 years of research experience in the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, he has presented papers at numerous national and international seminars, authored 11 textbooks, and published more than 70 research papers in reputed national and international journals. Under his guidance, 36 Ph.D. scholars and 5 M.Phil. scholars have been awarded their degrees. He has served on 47 education-related committees and as an Editorial Board Member for several refereed journals. He is Treasurer of the ISTD (Indian Society for Training and Development), Visakhapatnam Chapter, and currently serves as a National Council Member of ISTD. He is a life member of various professional and social bodies, and served as a Member of the State Level Committee on the Credit Based Choice System (CBCS) and Review of Syllabi for Undergraduate Programmes in Andhra Pradesh (2019–2021), appointed by the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE).
